Aileron Mounts: 9.5 hrs

May 26 & 27, 2020

Today I finished fabricating the other 3 aileron mount brackets and riveted them to the rear spar of the wings. The brackets weren’t hard overall, but some attention to detail was required since all 4 were unique and had different rivet call-outs, including specification to which side the rivet head needed to be on.

Next up was the aileron gap fairing and the flap brace. It took the rest of the day to drill, debur, dimple, and those two pieces and then the next day to rivet them all in. There’s 3 rivets in the end plate on the flap brace that needed to be bucked which I had to wait for Kacy to get home from work to finish.
