We received the first package from Vans which was the material for horizontal and vertical!! This is a hugely exciting for us, so much so that when FedEx didn’t deliver on Saturday we drove half an hour to the depot to collect them ourselves.
Unfortunately, the first shipment showed up only a couple days after we made it back to the country so we weren’t very prepared. The garage wasn’t cleaned out, the tools weren’t organized, and we still needed to buy a lot of things. Here’s the “before” shot of the garage:
We spent an hour shopping at Harbor Freight, found a Sears that was closing down, and made a trip to Lowes. Across all that we came out with shelving, new tool boxes, lighting, and all the other miscellaneous things we’ll need in the coming months. Now almost everything is sorted and soon we’ll be ready to unpack those high dollar aircraft parts.
Lastly, we hung the sign to remind us where it all started over the door.
